Parent Partner
Making a difference in the lives of new parents and their babies across Lane County
Mentors are available to any family with a child under 2 years
Bringing a baby into your life is one of the most exciting, happiest events that can happen to a family. But it can also be a time of stress, anxiety, and exhaustion. If a family is fortunate, they have a support system in place before the baby comes home. Friends and family to visit in the hospital, and drop by with meals, diapers and words of encouragement.
Unfortunately, not everyone has that. Some families live far from their support systems. Some relationships are broken and as a result, are unable to celebrate and support a young parent.
It is in these situations that Safe Families can step in with the Parent Partner program.
HOW IT WORKS
